INSIDE THE OLD RECTORY

The Old Rectory is a late medieval hall house that has undergone a number of changes over the centuries, the most significant being its conversion from a hall to a two-storeyed building.

It is very spacious, with well proportioned rooms. The rear of the house is south facing and the interior is so arranged that most of the rooms are bathed in sunlight for hours on long summer days.

The Old Rectory was the local base for the Home Guard in World War II and some relics are to be found here.
